George Thompson came from behind to take an impressive in round 15 of the Lincolnshire League at Abbey Farm on Sunday.
Only 33 riders lined up for the five-lap race and the Sleaford Wheeler was trailed Jeremy Durrin (Optum Pro Cycling) for much of the first lap, which took around 10 minutes to complete.
But Durrin suffered a problem when one of his pedals fell off and he had to complete the lap with just one, allowing Thompson to catch him.
With Durrin having to change his bike, Thompson upped the pace and pulled ten seconds away in front.
He stretched his lead out to a minute-and-a-half at one point although Durrin dug deep to get away from the attentions of Elmore Factory Racing duo Daryl Hewson and Rick Lister.
But it was still comfortable for Thompson and he finished a minute ahead of Durrin in second. Durrin was also comfortable with Hewson another minute behind him in third.
