RDFCC Winter Warmer 2

MTB XC , Gloucestershire – Sunday, 15 Feb 2015

Event Summary

Event Overview

XC racing in the Forest of Dean open to all riders of all ages.

Please join us to see what the FoD can offer and support the club.

The 2km approx course will be similar to the circuit used for last year's junior races using the spectator friendly start and finish area, situated on the loop itself. It uses part of the Freeminers trail and a section of the RDFCC enduro in reverse. It also incorporates a section prepared especially for our events and a previously lightly used track (only ridden by a few locals). The full route is 90% single track incorporating fast rolling sections, rooty ascents/descents and an exciting optional drop off.

The younger riders (U8,U10) will use the same start/finish area but a shorter circuit where parents will easily be able to watch and encourage their young ones for most of the lap.

Prizes from BC for younger riders. Bragging rights with possible fame and fortune for everyone one else. Cash prizes for 1st and 2nd if sufficient entries in that class.

Under 8's will need a mountain bike with at least 20" wheels and gears. over 18s can also ride 20" if they really want to, but it's not recommended.

The exact course will be dependant on ground conditions on the day.
