Event Overview

This is the final round in the Scottish Cycling West MTB Dirt Crit Series 2017 and will also include the Scottish Cycling West Regional Dirt Crit Championships.

There will be two sessions on each race day.

Session 1 will comprise of 4 skills stations.  Each rider will earn points at the skills stations.

The XC race will be handicapped according to the scores obtained in the skills session.

The time and distance of any race may be altered at the discretion of the Chief Commissaire.

Skills stations will be as follows:

  1. Track Stand
  2. Wheel Lift
  1. Skinnies
  1. Slalom

Maximum points available – 15 points

The handicap for the XC race will be 4 seconds for every point.


Series points will be awarded to riders in each category after each race. 

The regional Championship medals will be for eligible riders only, that is riders who are a first claim member of a Scottish Cycling West club.

Timings for the day will be as follows: Sign on Open 09.00 Sign on Close 10.30 Skills Practice 0900-10.30 Course Practice 0900-10.30 Skills Session Start 10.45-11.45  XC Session Start 1200-1400 (approx) Prize Presentation 14.15 (approx)

Riders must have a bike in full working order with two working brakes. All riders must wear a helmet and gloves.
