ECCA May Road Races consisting of the following

Regional A road race for 2nd, 3rd and 4th Category Riders which will be incorporating the ECCA Senior Championship for ECCA members only.

Preference will be given to entrants from clubs that belong to the Eastern Counties Cycling Association

Selection for the Regional A race is by the highest aggregate points from the current and last season until field is full.

The Regional B race is organised with the express intention of offering 4th cat riders and women an extra oppertunity to ride,  20% of the places will be offered to 3rd cat ridera with the remaing field to be selected at the organisers discretion.  This is a BC event prioritising 4th Cat Male  & all categories of Female riders.

Entries from clubs outside the Association will only be accepted if there is not a full field of ECCA Members by the event closing date which is the 15th April.

West Hanningfield course details.

Turn right out of village hall car park onto The Tye.  Follow road as it goes right and becomes Pan Lane.  At the T junction turn right and then immeadiate left into Church Road.  Stay on Church road until it reaches the junction with Middlemead which is where you enter the race circuit.  (About 3 Miles)

Circuit Details

Start at the junction of Middlemead and Church road.  Continue straight as road becomes Ship Road.  At junction with B1007 (M) turn left.  Turn left into Downham Road (M) and then left at the next T junction onto Hawkswood Road (M).  Stay on Hawkswood Road until left turn into South Hanningfield Road (M).  Just after entering South Hanningfield take the left turn onto Middlemead (M) and then continue until the T junction, when you complete the circuit and turn left onto Church Road (M).  

Finish will be in Middlemead just before the T junction with Church Road.
