Event Overview

The Knockhill Mountain Time Trial is a historic event that has long been run around a 25-mile undulating circular circuit on the outskirts of Dunfermline. Past winners of the event have included Mark Atkinson, Joseph Wilson, Arthur Doyle, Peter Ettles and the late Ben Abrahams (R.I.P.). Notably Arthur Doyle has won the event 4 times since 2007. Last years winner was Joe Nally, who was only a junior at the time of wining, with a time of 59:35.

*** This years event will include equal prize money for top 3 men and top 3 women, there will also be a bonus prize for fastest rider on a road bike ***

About the Event

Info for Riders

The event follows a 25 mile circular route. The start is located at the west end of Saline on the B913, then proceeds east climbing up through the main street in Saline on the B914, turning left at Red Craigs Toll onto the A823, left at Powmill onto the A977, left at the Gartarry roundabout onto the A907, then left again at Comrie to finish as the road enters Saline.

*restrictions for road bike prize:

1) No TT/Tri bars (bike should have drop handlebars).

2) No skin suits.

3) No rear disc wheels (deep section wheels are permitted).

4) No TT specific helmets (aero road helmets will be allowed e.g. Kask Infinity or Giro Air Attack but no pointy or Kask Bambino style helmets).
