Full Gas Cycling is proud to be hosting The Archer Spring Criterium again in 2019.

One of the longest-standing races on the longest-standing races on the UK Domestic Calendar, this will be the 63rd edition under the ownership of the Archer RC, now in partnership with Full Gas.

As usual, the demand for spaces in the Senior races will be high, so pre-entry is essential.  

Unlike most National B fields, the Archer is only open to 1st and 2nd category license holders, giving them a rare chance to compete without Elite competition.  The event will also feature a Regional B 3rd/4th category support race and Youth A/B warm-up races. Although there is no separate Womens’ race, all senior races are open to women.

The event has a prize fund of over £1,000.

Entries open soon and will close on 30th March.  Successful applicants will be confirmed after the closing date and entry fees will be taken ONLY if you are accepted.

Draft Programme:-

12.45pm – Youth A/B (30mins)

1.45pm – National B 1st/2nd Category Archer Spring Criterium (50 miles)

4.00pm – 3rd/4th Category Regional B support race (1hr approx)

Info for Riders

Before entering any races please ensure that you have read and understood ALL of the event information.

All venue Terms & Conditions (including car parking) must be adhered to at all times.

Our events are run under British Cycling Technical Regulations and overseen by a team of British Cycling commissaries.  

Riders participate at their own risk.  These are competitive events ridden at high speed and are not suitable for beginners.  We expect our riders to have some previous experience in the relevant discipline prior to entering – either from other races or through race-specific skills training sessions.  

All equipment – including clothing – must be fully compliant and riders are solely responsible for the condition and set-up of their bikes and all associated items. Use of onboard video or photographic recording equipment of any kind is prohibited during competitive events.  There are no exceptions to this. Once accepted, entry fees cannot be refunded if you withdraw AFTER the closing date.

Membership and Licencing Requirements

Riders must have a FULL RACING LICENCE, valid until 31st December 2019.  We will not be accepting Provisional or Day Licences for this event. If your photograph isn’t printed on the license you must bring an alternative photo ID with you. Failure to do this may result in entry withdrawal. In the event that you misplace your license, a print-out of your membership and license details (from your BC Dashboard) can be used.

Disciplinary Procedures

We operate a ZERO TOLERANCE policy when it comes to dangerous riding and disciplinary procedures will be taken if necessary including; relegation, disqualification and/or financial penalties.  These are amateur events and for most riders, this is a hobby. Participants are fully responsible for their own actions and are expected to show consideration for the safety of everyone taking part.  Please do not attempt moves you neither have the skills or experience to execute correctly.
