RAF Road Race Championships 2019. Includes Support Race for 3/4 Cat riders and a Women's Championship (subject to minimum entry requirements).

Only open to serving members of the RAF and associate members of the RAF Cycling Association.

Competitors will need to supply a Service Number with their application which will be verified before application is accepted.

The event will utilise the Leighton Road Circuit near Shawbury, with Leighton Village Hall being used as the event HQ. RAF Shawbury and RAF Cosford will be used for messing and accommodation requirements.

As the RAF Road Race Championships are authorised by the Directorate of RAF Sport, all riders are to ensure they are members of the RAF Cycling Association. Click here to join. Day licences will be available on the day.

It is the expectation that competitors enter the appropriate event for themselves, in line with the following guidance:

Support Race

• New to racing; novice competitors; 4th Category riders as per BC.
• 3rd Category riders who have not raced for 12 months or more.
• Riders who finished 11th place or lower in last years' Support Race.
• Medical/injury reasons (dealt with on a case by case basis by the race organiser)

Championship Races

• E/1/2/3/4 Category riders.
• Any competitor who has raced competitively in the previous season who holds a 3rd Category licence or above are to enter this event.
• Any competitor who competed in a previous Support Race which saw them achieve a top 10 finish are to enter this event.
