Derby Arena Track Cycling Grand Prix & National Madison

Derby Arena’s open track cycling competition, attracting national standard track cyclists and youth riders. Competing in a range of events, a scratch, points, elimination and a 10 Mile GP final.

There will be a separate youth A competition for Boys only due to programme timings. Youth A girls are accepted on dispensation to race the women's senior event schedule.

HSBC National Madison for both Male and Female riders. This will be a thrilling finish to the GP and we look forward to some great racing. 

Doors open 10:45 am for the Grand Prix events and 5pm for the Madison.

Racing starts at 11am with a scheduled finish time of approximately 5.30pm for the GP events. The Madison events will commence from 6pm with an approximate finish of 9pm. 

Grand Prix finals starting from 3pm with the party atmosphere in full swing 

British Cycling National Championships are only open to British Nationals who hold a full UCI Recognised competition licence with GBR upon it and a current/valid British Cycling Gold or Silver Membership

Info for Riders

Sign on opens from 09.00 in the cafe for endurance GP riders.

Endurance events will consist of Scratch, Elimination, Points and a 10 Mile GP Scratch for all groups

Riders are asked to arrive and set-up their equipment from 07.30 onwards so that the races can begin at 11.30 prompt. There will be a track warm up starting at 10.30 for female endurance and sprinters, male endurance and sprinters at 11.15.

If riders are not ready for the race when called up they will miss that specific race.

Madison Riders:

Sign on will open from 16.00 till 17.30 for Female and 16.30-18.00 for Male riders.

Track Warm up will be at from 6pm onwards for Female's and from 7pm onwards for Male's

All riders:

•Please keep the cycling D/ provided space tidy and organised for the safety of the race administrators and riders.

 •Entry is priced per group of either endurance, sprint or Madison.

 •Riders can enter more than one group.

 •Entrants to the Madison must specify a partner and be riding in a matching kit. A description of the kit must be provided to ensure no crossover with other teams.

 •As part of the event promoting Derby Arena we would like to interview/photograph for marketing purposes. This can be declined if you so wish.
