British Cycling National Omnium Championship and Derby Arena Sprint.

The omnium will be disputed over a single day held under the current UCI regulations.

There will be a points race qualification with the top 12 riders from each group entered into the National Omnium. If there are 24 riders or less then there will be no qualification round.

There will be a Male B programme for those that do not qualify if numbers permit at the discretion of the organiser.

The Sprint will consist of a time trial over 200m to seed riders and then heats for all riders to the finals. 12 Riders per male and female group.

The final classification for the omnium is established as follows: 

Prior to the start of the Points Race, a current ranking with the points totals shall be drawn up, and riders will start the Points Race with these points accrued over the first three events. Riders shall add to, and lose points from, their points totals based on laps gained and lost, and points won in sprints, during the Points Race.

Final overall Omnium ranking shall evolve through the Points Race.
The winner of the Omnium shall be the rider who has obtained the highest total of points.

Male races:

• 10 km Scratch
• 10 km Tempo
• Elimination
• 25 km Points

Female races:

• 7.5 km Scratch
• 7.5 km Tempo
• Elimination
• 20 km Points

Entry restricted to British Nationals who hold a current/valid British Cycling Membership and 2019 UCI Recognised Competition Licence

Start time of the events is 11.00 with sign on from 08.30 closing at 10.30 for males and females will remain open till 11.20.

The female races begin at 13.00 so if entries are at or under 24 there will be no qualification round and sign on will be from 11.00-12.30. Conformation of sign on times for female's will be given after entry closes.

Expected finish time is ~21.00 with award ceremonies.

British Cycling National Championships are only open to British Nationals who hold a full UCI Recognised competition licence with GBR upon it and a current/valid British Cycling Gold or Silver Membership

Info for Riders

•Riders are asked to arrive and set-up their equipment from 07.30 onwards so that the races can begin at 11.00 prompt (10.00 am track warm up). If riders are not ready for the race when called up they will miss that specific race.
