Everyone follows a set route at their own pace within time limits of 3.5hrs and 7hrs max. IT IS NOT A RACE please do not treat it as such. Have a brisk ride by all means but don’t act like you’re in the Pro Tour and make a nuisance to other road users.

Route Finding

On the Tour of Retford we encourage self-reliance. You are setting yourself a challenge, so its up to you to ensure you are fit enough and that your bike is in good condition. There are five checkpoints en-route where you can top up on water and moral support. Navigation is your responsibility, study the map to supplement the written description and carry out a little home- work beforehand and you’ll not get lost. The route has not changed since last year.

GPX map details (on STRAVA) https://www.strava.com/routes/4437485?hl=en-GB and a cue sheet PDF are available for download (or collect on the day) The route may be sign posted but don’t trust signs, they can get moved or changed. Please enjoy the North Nottinghamshire Countryside and have a nice bike ride :-)
