This is the 1st of 3 Criteriums.

The Lewes Wanderers are proud to announce the return of its popular series of road races, which will be held as usual on the Laughton circuit on Thursdays 1st, 8th and 15th of June, starting at 7.15pm. As last year there will be 40 riders in each race along with AMS which made for a much safer racing environment. Entries will open soon and organisers will start approving riders from May 1st.  

As part of the selection process each cycling club will be restricted to 5 riders or fewer so you are encouraged to put forwards your preferred team. We will seek to achieve a balance between the number of 3rd and 4th category riders. These criteria are designed to encourage team racing, to discourage dominance by a few clubs and to encourage more women and newer racers.

It is highly recommended that all 4th cat riders complete the two stage Race Preparation Training course or have regularly attended the Trainsharp training session on the Laughton circuit.  This is designed to minimise crashes, particularly during sprints for the line.

There will be equal prize money for male and female riders across the race series, including positional prize money on each race night, then an overall Prime prize and GC prize on the final evening.

The event HQ is at Laughton Parrish Hall and sign on opens at 18:15.

Nearer to the event you will be given info on parking.  

British Cycling do not take any payment until the event organisers have approved entries. A British Cycling race licence must be presented during registration. Riding is not permitted without a valid race licence or a cycle helmet.
