Event Overview

On the 3rd and 4th of November we will be celebrating the Welsh Cycling 50th anniversary during the UCI International track race taking place at Newport Velodrome. (Home - Welsh Cycling 50th Anniversary)

As part of the event, we will be launching the ‘Festiva’ – a new event format focusing on fun competition for young people. It is a festival of the bike, with multiple events of various formats showcasing the versatility and variety of opportunity that cycling presents.

The Festiva will run on Saturday 4th November 10am-1pm at the International Sports Village, with events including a pump track challenge, 100m sprint, design a jersey, balance bike derby, BMX flatland and more!

 

There are some awesome prizes available for individuals during the event, and for the school and club with the most participants attending!

Bikes are available to use but please bring your own if you have one.

The event can be entered in advance at a cost of £1 plus a £1 levy, or entered on the day at £3 (please bring change). 

This event is suitable for anyone under the age of 16, including those on balance bikes!
