A series of competitive Youth A and B Track race evenings which includes a variety of track events to test and develop racing skills  

Info for Riders

Please note that to enter a DAYTL race event all riders need to be affiliated to the league.

Endorsement is necessary for all new Youth A & Youth B riders to secure acceptance of League affiliation. Endorsement can be provided by your local British Cycling Talent Development Officer - please consult / talk to them about what you need to have done to secure this endorsement.

We would recommend that all riders new to Derby book at least one Track Development session (dependent upon your recent track experience).

Races at the League events will vary for each scheduled evening and for each rider group (Youth A / Youth B / Male / Female). All riders will be offered the opportunity to participate in different types of events (or combinations of events) for each scheduled session (scratch, points, elimination, sprint ladders, Keirin etc etc.).

In 2024 we will again run a competitive league series.

This is now a 3hrs race event, with mix of competitive youth racing and with seperate races for male and female riders.

Each event accumulates League Points to determine overall placings, we will also award BC license points for one race event per night for endurance riders and one sprint event for sprinters, where we have sufficient riders numbers to do so.

Finally, please note all riders must compete on their age-appropriate gear restrictions, must use their own track bike and gear checking will be necessary / requested at each event. Please also bring Race Licences to every event.
