Session Information:

These sessions are delivered by BC Eastern Region Go-Ride coaches from a number of collaborating clubs and will ensure riders receive a varied and challenging training programme to help them progress in their racing and competition goals. These sessions are aimed at elevating race craft.

Sessions are held on the Abercrombie or River loops, with two full track bookings secured. All sessions are 1.5 hours in length (19:30 - 21:00).

*Entries will close for each session at 5pm on the afternoon of the event; please do not leave it too late to book as session plans need to be prepared in advance

 

Riders must be 2011-2006 year of birth and should be looking to get or already have race experience.

About the Event

Info for Riders

All riders should arrive in their bike kit with enough food and drink for the duration of the session.

Sessions are planned in 15 minute blocks, allowing riders time between block to eat/drink/add or remove layers. Riders are asked not to stop mid-block unless absolutely necessary.

Competitor’s equipment all their own, no venue equipment in use. Helmets are mandatory.

All coaches are first aid trained as are venue staff. Riders showing any covid symptoms are not to attend.

If you are unable to attend, please advise the event organiser as soon as possible so spaces can be made available to others; refunds will be at the discretion of the event organiser.

 

Come with a good attitude, prepared to listen and learn. Foul language and poor behaviour will not be tolerated.

Riders who cannot behave in a respectful manner - to coaches, fellow riders, or venue staff - will be asked to leave and may be in jeopardy not being allowed back to further sessions.

 

Notes on clothing and equipment

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing; legs and arms must be covered in cooler weather and the use of gloves is required. Bring rain layers for inclement weather and spare tubes and equipment to address any mechanical issues.

Riders are encouraged to see to their own mechanical repairs - coaches will not be able to stop to assist with bikes which are in poor working order.
