Race for Grassroots - from beginners to experienced riders

Youth and Juvenile £8 advance entry fee 

£15 advance for Junior and Adults.

This is because the races this year will use electronic timing - meaning faster results and accurate times for you all, but a slight increase on costs and hence entry fees, and events close for new entries a week before, so that timer files can be prepared.

Info for Riders

• Youths - born 2008 - 2009 - in year of 15th or 16th birthday
• Juveniles - born 2010 - 2011 - in year of 13th or 14th birthday

HQ will be located at the bridge (Bailey Bridge) linking the Chorlton Water Park to Kenworthy Woods.  the start/finish and will include sign on & numbers.

Parking and toilets are available at Maitland Avenue M21 7WH. Alternatively, HQ is located on the River Mersey path for those close enough to ride over.

Bailey Bridge is currently closed and will likely still be closed on the day of the event. Should it be closed, riders and spectators coming from the car park and public toilets will need to cross the Mersey further downstream or upstream.

Access from the south (Willenhall road) is also possible, however parking is limited and their are no restrooms as on the other side of the Mersey.

The race will be a minimum of 1 hour. The race will be a staggered start with the racers setting off a minute or so ahead of the enthusiasts. All riders will finish when the leader completes their final lap.
