Event Overview

VCRT presents the Scottish National Veteran Road Race Championships.

 

This event is open to all riders of any race category aged 40 and above and will consist of separate open and female races with prizes for V40 and V50 winners and medals awarded by Scottish Cycling.

 

Note - to qualify for a national title you must enter prior to 2350 hours on Friday 21 June 2024. Entries after this date may NOT be considered and if allowed will NOT qualify for a national title. 

 

The open race will be held over two a half laps of the Midmar long course totalling 49 miles on predominately wide fast roads with a total of 825m of climbing split between two climbs.

SC2.1 Competitors in Scottish Cycling Championships must hold a full Scottish Cycling/British Cycling or UCI racing licence, which must be presented at sign on.

SC2.2 All Scottish Cycling Championships shall be open to persons who meet at least one of the following criteria: -

SC2.2.1 Persons whose primary club is affiliated to Scottish Cycling (licence showing that club or team at the time entries close).

SC2.2.2 Scottish Nationals (persons born in Scotland).

SC2.2.3 Scottish Residents (persons who have continuously lived in Scotland for the last three consecutive years prior to the day of the Championship).

SC.2.2.4 Persons who have at least one parent who was born in Scotland.

SC2.2.5 Members of the armed forces who meet none of the above, but who by necessity are required to live in Scotland away from their normal residence.
