2024's RAF Road Champions will be selected on the the Ellerdine Circuit, Shawbury, Shropshire. 

As this event is authorised by the Directorate of RAF Sport (DRS), all riders are to ensure they are members of the RAF Cycling Association before signing up to compete. Click HERE to join.

British Cycling race licences are required. Day licences are available to purchase on the day approx. £10 per person.

Riders should enter the appropriate events in line with the following guidance:

• Open Championship Race - Overall Champion and highest placed *novice crowned within same race.
• Women's Championship Race - Overall Champion.

This race is for SERVING members of the RAF Cycling Association only. Competitors will need to supply a Service Number with their application which will be verified before application is accepted.

Info for Riders

The race will take place on the Ellerdine Circuit in an anti-clockwise direction.

RAF Shawbury gymnasium (SY4 4DZ) will play host as the event HQ with a neutralised zone to the circuit.

The Women's Championship, open to both serving and civilian women, will begin at 10:00, taking in 3 laps of the circuit (approx. 36 miles including neutralised). Serving riders will be competing for the RAF Women's Road Race Champion.

The Open Championship, restricted to serving personnel only, will begin at 12:30, taking in 4 laps of the circuit (approx. 47 miles including neutralised).
