Event Overview

Elgin Cycling Club will be hosting the Dyke APR which is 4 laps of the flat Dyke loop (37.5 miles total). This event is a great season starter and is ideal for riders new to racing and wishing for a taster!

 

Rider groups and time gaps between each group will be confirmed during the week prior to race day.

 

Sign on will be at HQ - Dyke Village Hall and riders will make their own way to the start line as seen on the Strava link below.

An APR is essentially a handicap race whereby small groups of riders start at different times, with stronger riders starting later, with the scratch group starting last. The aim is to keep away from the group behind or catch the group in front. The winner for each category is the first rider across the finish line.
