The Tour Series will swing into Kirkcaldy Town Centre once again and after last years opportunity to race on closed roads, Youths are invited to compete on the same circuit as the Professionals. The tricky anti-clockwise course has all the typical characteristics of a fast street race; narrow lanes, clinkers, rough tarmac etc. A proving ground for future champions.

Scottish Cycling is pleased to announce a Youth Race on the 14th of May 2013 at the Kirkcaldy round of the Tour Series. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for young bike riders to race on the same closed road circuit the Professionals will use for their televised series. Beginning at 12pm a full menu of activities will take to the roads of "Lang Toun" showcasing cycling in all its forms, from school kids to a procession of all types of bicycles. Crowds of spectators will be lining the 1.4km testing circuit cheering on all the participants, before the main event begins at 7pm. The format for the Youth race is as follows: 13:00 sign on opens 13:45 sign on closes 14:15 Both U16/14 Boys and Girls Races begin 15:00 Race finishes Entries open 26th April
