William Perrett races on the road and the track. The 27-year-old from Nottingham currently lives in Manchester, where he trains with the Great Britain endurance squad. 

Having made his debut for GBCT in 2022, he has since competed in major events such as UCI Track World Championships and participated in the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

In 2023, Perrett claimed a bronze medal in the omnium at the UEC European Track Championships, Grenchen, Switzerland. 

The 2024 season has begun on a high for Perrett, as he took gold in the elimination race at the UCI Track Nations Cup round in Hong Kong. 

Perrett currently races on the road for the Spirit TBW Stuart Hall Racing Team, a British Cycling Elite Development team. Since signing for them in 2023, he has ridden a number of domestic races, and kermesses in Belgium. He previously spent two seasons with Irish team Spellman Dublin Port. In 2021, Perrett finished 10th in the men’s elite individual time trial at the National Championships in Lincoln. Most recently, Perrett finished sixth in the East Cleveland Classic, in April 2024.

Perrett has a Masters degree in Environmental Science, and combined his cycling career first with his university studies, and then with his job as an environmental consultant. Perrett left work to concentrate on training full time ahead of the 2023 UCI Track World Championships.
