Marc Beaumont is the 2010 British Downhill Series Champion - he comfortably secured the overall title in style, with a win at Caersws.
On the day, Beaumont edged out Ben Cathro by 1.407seconds, with Joe Smith and Harry Molloy in close company for third and fourth - but in the overall Ben Reid was Beaumont's closest competition, albeit 48 points back. Third and fourth in the Series were Dan and Gee Atherton, despite only attending three of the five rounds.
Katy Curd took the win in the women's race and Series with two victories in five rounds, followed on the day by Emma Wareham and Aimee Dix. Curd's closest competition in the Series overall came from British Champion Jess Stone, however her poor result at the final race of the year cost Stone the double.
Jack Geoghegan took the Expert category win by one point over Leon Rosser, in the one of the closest fought categories of the season, only to be outdone by Joe Flanagan who took the Senior men's by virtue of his better result in the final race, after being tied on points with Jonathan Owen.
The theme continued as Arran Gannicott had only a five point margin over Brad Mather in the Juniors and Rosie Smith defeated Angela Proctor by two points in the non-elite women's title race.
Sam Heard took three wins on his way to the Juvenile overall, Dave List won the Masters Series, Rich Simpson the Veterans and Fraser McGlone the Youth title.
