This Saturday it’s the West Drayton MBC night time cross country races at Black Park Country Park, the event features three classes - open and vets classes for those experienced in cross country racing and fun class for those new to mountain bike racing and the exhilaration of night time racing.

Start times are 7pm for the fun event and 7.50pm for the open/vets races; the racing at this venue always produces close tight races as riders tackle the winding single track and forest paths that make up the all weather circuit.

Generous sponsorship from headline sponsors Exposure have been backed up by further sponsorship from Beyond Mountain Bikes, Party Lights and the King William Guest house so some great prizes are guaranteed to be handed out at the post race presentation where free burgers and hot drinks will be provided to all the riders.

As the event is close to Halloween there will be prizes for the best female and male fancy dress outfits as well as prizes for the fastest riders.

Pre-entry closes on Wednesday 17 October but entry on the day will be available.

Sundays Black Park Duathlon at the same venue has already attracted a good entry with Maddie Horton last year’s female winner returning to defend her title. There are still spaces available for the event which comprises of a three miles cross country run, followed by a 12 mile off road bike leg and then a further three mile run.

Sponsorship from Go Ape, Bucks Off-Road Sportive, Sweat Shop Windsor will once again see the winners well rewarded for their efforts and all entrants will get a discount code to use on Go Ape activities at Black Park or at Wendover Woods.

Categories include Male/Female/Veterans and teams of two Black Park Country Park is close to Slough and is easily accessible from the M25, M4 and M40.
