Stafford Elite Circuit Series Gives Next Generation Chance to Shine
Event Date: 29 June 2011 | Event Listing
The Second round of the British Cycling Elite Circuit series in Stafford will offer the next generation of British cycling champions the chance to race in front of an appreciative crowd in just a few weeks time when under 16 boys and girls race around the streets of the town.
Action from the senior race at last year's event
Entries are now open via the British Cycling online calendar for the event that takes place on the 29th June. With the rare chance to race on an urban closed road circuit, plus the presence of some of the stars of our sport to watch later the same evening, youngsters will have to move quickly to guarantee their place on the start line.
The under 16's from clubs across the region won't be the only young people that take to the streets on the 29th though as British Cycling's Go-Ride Racing will see riders from a selection of local schools kick off the evening at 6pm in the town's Market Square, testing both their skills and speed in a team challenge that will see the winners crowned as the town's best cycling school.
With all this excitement the crowd on the night will be well and truly warmed up by the time the professionals take to the circuit just after 8pm.
Entries for the Under 16 race are open now. Head to the event's listing on the calendar to enter
