RACING came to a premature end at the Hillingdon circuit when a crash in the bunch led to the abandonment of the race for second and third categories at the Inverse-Cyclaim RT meeting.
Earlier, the finish of the women's race had also been affected by a crash in the final 100 metres which left Eleanor Garratt (Offcamber) and Lucy Grimstead (Wyndymilla) requiring stitches.
High Wycombe CC's Karla Boddy escaped the pile-up to take victory in a bunch sprint ahead of Clemence Copie and Dyanne Holland (Inverse-Cyclaim RT) after 51 minutes of racing.
