Adam Atkinson (34 Nomads) won the Revo Racing Road Race in Devon on Saturday after a bunch sprint finish to the inaugural 50-mile event.

A hilly course gave plenty of chances for the strong riders to break away, but at attempted break on the first lap was quickly snuffed out by the end of the circuit, but the increase in pace saw a large group go out the back.

Other riders tried their luck in escaping, but the biggest advantage they got was about 20 seconds.

The most daring break of the race came from Sam Larkham (Bristol South CC) who managed just over one lap out front alone, taking maximum points at both primes. But unfortunately for him he was sucked up by the remains of the peloton, which was down to 20 riders.

And he was pipped for the King of the Mountains competition on countback by the consistent Paul Caton (Anders TMG Horizon RT).

In the end it came down to a bunch sprint with Adam Atkinson (34 Nomads) taking it comfortably by a couple of bike lengths from Paul Caton (Anders TMG Horizon RT) with Steven Green (Bristol South CC) taking the final podium position.
