Report: Snowdon Sports
Team Corley Cycles’ Roy Chamberlain took victory in the latest round of the Abbeygate Developments/Corley Cycles Summer Series staged at the Milton Keynes Bowl in Buckinghamshire on Thursday evening.
The 47-year-old from Newport Pagnell showed his younger rivals a clean pair of heels at the end of the race, which was staged over one hour and five laps of the popular circuit.
Chamberlain held off 18-year-old Ed Clemens (VC10) from Aylesbury, while third spot went to Zappi’s CC rider Will Fox from Banbury.
Running simultaneously was the race for third and fourth category riders, women and juniors, and it was another Team Corley rider, junior Ben Chapman, who took the win from Cyclesport’s Chris Hurd.
