Worcester teenager Sam Williams secured victory in the latest of the Stourport Tuesday Night Races, which this week was organised by Worcester St John’s CC at the track at Stourport Sports Club.
The 18-year-old NFTO rider, who finished third on the same circuit on June 19’s issue of the series, beat 19-year-old Telford-based rival Todd Hotchkiss (Performance Cycles) to the line at the end of the race for E12 riders, while third spot went to Cambridge CC’s Toby Parnell.
Parnell just held off June 19 winner Dan Harris (Halesowen A&CC) for the final spot on the podium.
In the supporting race for 3/4 category riders, 14-year-old Staffordshire rider Jack Escritt (Fred Williams Cycles) showed his talent by beating older and more experienced riders.
Escritt beat 32-year-old Kamil Studzinski, the Powys-based rider with Brooks Cycles, while third place went to 21-year-old Kidderminster rider Jack Coombe (Wyre Forest CRC) who had won the same race on June 5.
