Road: Yetman leads the way at Thruxton

UNDER-23 Josh Yetman (Terra Footwear-Bicycle Line) improved from fifth the previous week to record his first win of the season in round six of the Andover Wheelers series at Thruxton.

The Taunton 22-year-old held off Ian Rees (Wilier-Live2Ride) and the consistent Anders Christensen (Pedal Heaven RT) – winner of the opening two rounds – in a reduced field for Friday’s race.

In the category three and four race, Richard Phillips-Schofield of Hantspol CC took first place with Army CU’s Will Hunt in second.

Rob Hogg of 1st Chard Wheelers won the under 16 race and the under 12 race was won by Caitlin Peters of Fareham Wheelers.
