Leaving the rest of a splintered field in his wake, Rob Partridge (Team UK Youth) came in alone to win the fifth round of the CDNW League over seven laps of the testing Capernwray circuit in north Lancashire.
The 27-year-old finished 11 seconds clear of James Gullen (Team Hope Factory Racing) with a gap of a further severn seconds to third-placed Hugh Carthy (Rapha Condor JLT) as the circuit’s arduous 1-in-6 climb of Sunny Bank took a heavy toll of the 40-strong field – only 17 making to the finish and spread over ten minutes.
The supporting five-lap race saw winner Alex Jones (4 Star Racing) finish over a minute clear of his nearest rival.
