Elite rider Graham Briggs (Team Raleigh) notched a win up against a strong field in the Experian Cycle Live Criterium Races held on Friday night.
In the National B race, Team Raleigh, Node4 – Giordana and Metaltek all had riders in the starting line up but it was the 29-year-old Doncaster man that took victory to see him go to the National Championships in good form.
Roman Van Uden (Node4 – Giordana) finished just behind Briggs with his team-mate Dan Barry in third.
In the Regional B race, it was James Peckover of Beeston RC who took first place, ahead of Moda RT’s Philip Wilkins and Ross Lamb (Mansfield RC).
In the youth race, it was another Peckover who took victory with Oliver Peckover home first. Kieran Howarth and Callum McBrearty soon followed him to make it a Nottingham Clarion one-two-three. The Nottingham Building Society and Raleigh won the Corporate Relay.
