Have you ever seen BMX racing up close? Now is your chance. The BMX British Series is coming to Scotland on 27th/ 28th May, hosted at Broadwood BMX Track in Cumbernauld for Rounds 5 and 6.
The event will play host to the very best BMX talent from across the UK and therefore Scottish Cycling is delighted that Broadwood has secured its place as a prime venue in this prestigious tournament.
Access to the grand stand and other spectating areas will be absolutely FREE for anyone who wants the opportunity to watch the very best BMX riders from across the nation all weekend.
North Lanarkshire Leisure will also be hosting a fun kids zone on Saturday 27th May, which will have face painting, inflatables and a range of sporting activities to keep the wee ones amused for hours. Access to this great fun zone will cost ONLY £3 which will give you unlimited access to all the activities all day. Tickets will be sold on the day.
In addition, there will be food and refreshment stalls on site all weekend as well as a licensed bar area for the adults.
The HSBC UK BMX National Series brings Britain’s best BMX riders together over six weekends - and 12 rounds of racing - from March to August.
Riders are rewarded points based on their results in each round (up to maximum of 100 points per round). A rider’s best seven results from the series makes up their total. The rider with the highest total in their respective category is crowned BMX National Series champion.
