A thorough review of the CX series in the North revealed an appetite for the discipline that the region is keen to satisfy. The perfect blend of mud, skills, fitness and inclusive races has been requested and this is what a dynamic team of organisers are working hard to deliver over the coming series. With 6 rounds hosted by Moray Firth CC, Ben Wyvis CC and East Sutherland Wheelers there will be ample opportunity to have a punt for some series points.

There will be races for U10’s through to Vet’s for female and male riders. We’re keen to make this an inclusive series to encourage new people to try cycle racing, try cyclocross from another discipline or just come out to have fun riding.

James Bracher, Regional Development Officer for Scottish Cycling North commented: “it’s fantastic to see this series continue in the North, the appetite for cyclocross in Scotland is massive and it will be great to establish a series up here. It’s the perfect discipline of cycling, combining off-road bike handling with mud and on-road fitness, it is the ultimate platform to develop riders’ ability in any discipline of racing. The events are also ideal for families and those looking to get into racing whilst riding away from traffic. The venues suit spectators coming to watch, it should prove a great day out for riders and watchers.”
