Fastest pair in Stirling BC’s Boomerang Trophy two-up time trial were Tam Gordon and Ian Grant (Dooleyscycles.co.uk), who rode through sunshine, freezing showers and hail to cover the 23-miles from Thornhill to Stirling and back, across the Kippen flats, in 49:13.
They had a winning margin of two minutes over David Millar and Jim Cusick (Glasgow Couriers) – the former winning the Boomerang Trophy as the best veteran member of a team on age-related standard times.
