Dipping inside the hour by just three seconds, Allan Sutherland (Caithness CC) won his own club’s 25-mile time trial over a testing course based on Thurso, the northernmost town on the British mainland.

Sutherland finished ten seconds clear of Kevin Lackey (Moray Cycles RT) under blue skies with a brisk headwind on the return leg.
