Ben Greenwood (Hope Factory Racing) edged out rival Evan Oliphant (Team Raleigh) in a sprint finish to the Kilmacolm Kermesse in Renfrewshire on Sunday.
A strong wind up the farm road section of the race saw the field burst to pieces in the first lap with a number of small groups forming within the first eight miles.
After a few laps the race settled with two main groups on the road. The front group contained eventual winner Ben Greenwood (Hope Factory Racing), second place Evan Oliphant (Team Raleigh) and third place rider Scott McCrossan (Rock to Roll Cycles Ltd).
The front group of 14 riders worked well to clock up the laps as the second group in the road continued to work well in vain attempting to bring the leaders back.
In the end Greenwood and Oliphant sprinted it out between themselves leaving McCrossan to roll over the line solo to take third before the rest of the lead group came in to sort out the placings.
