Second last year, Glasgow Couriers’ Jim Cusick went one better and secured a comfortable victory in the Law Wheelers 25 at Cambusbarron, Stirling, on Saturday.
The 48-year-old from Glasgow clocked 54-54 in the event, which was also the Scottish VTTA J.Cramb Handicap Trophy.
That time was quick enough to give him victory by 53 seconds over his nearest rival, team-mate Barry McGurk, while third spot went to VC Glasgow South rival Steve Macluskie, who was more than three minutes behind the pace set by Cusick.
With victories in the Cronberry Classic and Danny Boyle Memorial already under his belt, Cusick is clearly a man in form at this point of the season.
Another member of Glasgow Couriers, Lindsay Curran was fastest woman, while Cusick was also the winner of the SVTTA competition. And Steve Macluskie was the winner of the J Cramb Trophy with a net time of 49-35.
