Silas Goldsworthy (Sandy Wallace Cycles) racked up yet another time trial win in Scotland, this time battling against the wind to win the Fife CA Open 10 in Freuchie.
The wind was incredibly strong on the circuit, making it very difficult for the riders. It was clear that nobody was going to get under the magic 20-minute mark but Goldsworthy still put in a good time, finishing only 15 seconds off the course record with a 20:29.
Goldsworthy’s team mate, Alan Thompson, was second fastest with a time of 20:40 and Steve Cairns of Perth United completed the podium with a 21:11.
Stirling Bike Club had a good day with three riders winning their categories. Katherine Wren was quickest woman and in the youth, it was Andy Brown who took the honours. Graeme Hay was top veteran.
