The On the Rivet Super Reliability Trial series of events kicks off on Sunday February 3 in the centre of Burgess Hill, with two more events following on February 10 and March 24.

Event Background
On The Rivet Velo Club, a new cycling club based in Sussex, is running these events with the support of SRS Events and sponsorship from Avelo Images.
Each event in the series has two routes averaging in distance of 70 miles for the long route and just over 40 miles for the shorter route.
Riders will be timed via brevet cards as is the norm with reliability rides and those riders who have GPS devices for this ride will be able to compare their rides on the dedicated Strava page.
The routes are based on some stunning roads around the Sussex area and enjoy relative freedom from motor vehicles. Although there are no major hills on route there are a few small hills to grit your teeth on. These are excellent events to test your fitness levels and in the right group push those levels ever so lightly if you wish. Mainly though these are excellent social events for every rider to enjoy and celebrate the beginning of the new cycle season.
All check points are based at village halls which offer somewhere warm to rest and get some food and drink before continuing. Toilets are also available at these stops.
SRS Events known for their excellent cyclosportive series in Sussex will be doing their usual great job of comprehensively laying out the arrows for each route making this reliability ride event seem even more like a Cyclosportive but with out the associated cost.
As well as the joy of taking part in these reliability events on the day you will receive reduced entries to SRS Events cyclosportive events later in the year.
Riders will receive a special flyer at each event giving them at the very least 20% discount on postal entries to future Cyclosportives in the SRS Events series soon to be released.
Sponsors Avelo Images will be also reducing their photos download prices for these events giving 20% off all hi resolution images taken on the day. Images of riders taken by Avelo images can be easily down loaded the day afterwards from the Avelo images website. Riders who take part in these reliability rides will also receive a code to get discounts on past photography shot at SRS EVENTS Cyclosportivves shot by Avelo Images.
